The Packwood Library opened in April 1973 in leased space. The present
Packwood Library is a log building which was a gift from the Combs family. It
once housed a post office, museum, rock shop and was designed for overnight
accommodations on the second floor. The building was remodeled in 1981 for
library use.
The Packwood Library has:
- Books, videotapes, DVDs, CDs, audio cassettes, newspapers
and magazines for readers and library users of all ages.

Programs and events for children and adults.
- Computers with access to the Internet, Microsoft Office,
and online reference databases. One-hour computer sessions can be
reserved using the online reservation system or by calling the library.
- Free wireless Internet access in the library during regular open hours.
